Radio!! Radio!! editions guide: CDs, vinyl and cassette compared

Details checked October 3, 2026.

Erasure’s Radio!! Radio!! is scheduled for March 12, 2027 on Mute. “Wings Of Love” is the first track released from the album. For most buyers, the standard CD or sunburst LP is the sensible starting point. Choose another edition because you want its packaging, artwork or format: the product information checked for this guide does not announce an expanded track list. Official album announcement

This is a preorder and editions guide, based on announced specifications. It is not a review of the finished album or a comparison of pressing quality.

The short answer

• You want the album on CD: choose the standard CD. Its advertised packaging includes a 12-page booklet.
• You collect alternate CD packaging: compare the mirrorboard special edition with HMV’s blue alternate-artwork edition.
• You want a vinyl copy with the pop-up sleeve: the sunburst LP is the straightforward choice; Rough Trade also lists that sleeve for its splatter edition.
• You collect vinyl variants: compare the picture disc, HMV hot pink and Rough Trade red-and-yellow splatter editions.
• You want a cassette: the blue cassette is a direct-to-consumer format, with a download code listed by Mute Bank.
• You prefer downloads: Erasure’s Bandcamp offers a digital preorder, with “Wings Of Love” available now.

The differences below are documented format and packaging differences. They do not establish which version will sound best.

The physical editions compared

All are announced for March 12, 2027. These links identify the editions; they are not a guarantee of remaining allocation, delivery to your country or arrival on release day.

“Direct-to-consumer” describes the sales channel. It does not promise a signed copy or additional music. The artist’s announcement also directs buyers to Lexer Music for its retail-partner formats. Use the official preorder links to choose a retailer appropriate to your location.

Does the special CD include bonus tracks?

Mute Bank lists the same ten songs for its standard and mirrorboard CDs. The stated difference is the sleeve. HMV’s alternate-artwork CD also lists those ten songs. None of those three listings advertises a bonus disc, remix or extra song as of the date checked.

That makes the standard CD the practical choice if your priority is the music. The other CDs are worth considering if you specifically want their presentation. Do not assume that “special edition” means “deluxe track list.” Standard CD specifications, mirrorboard CD specifications, HMV CD specifications

Which vinyl edition makes sense?

Start with the sunburst LP if you want one vinyl copy and like the advertised pop-up gatefold. If you collect different pressings, the picture disc, hot-pink LP and splatter LP give you distinct visual options.

Rough Trade’s stated 500-copy edition is a production description, not a live stock count. HMV and Rough Trade also warn that finished vinyl colours can differ from promotional images. Choose a colour you like without expecting your copy to match the mock-up exactly. HMV vinyl details, Rough Trade edition details

There is no listening-based pressing recommendation here. The album has not been released, and a sleeve, colour or format alone is not evidence of better mastering or quieter playback.

You can hear “Wings Of Love” and check the digital preorder on Erasure’s official Bandcamp page. That page also lists CD and sunburst-vinyl preorders shipping from the United States, with the digital album included. Bandcamp’s quoted dispatch timing is on or around the release date, rather than guaranteed delivery that day.

Before you preorder

• Check the exact variant. Rough Trade’s product page contains more than one format. Match the selected format to the edition you want.
• Compare the delivered total. Currency, postage and any import charges can matter more than a small difference in the item price.
• Separate items you need sooner. Mute Bank says orders containing these preorders are not part-shipped, so other items in the same order may wait. Mute Bank preorder terms on the product page
• Read the current dispatch estimate. A preorder is an order for a future release, not confirmation that a record has shipped.
• Check promotional terms separately. An entry into a signed-item draw is not a guaranteed signed item. Do not count old tour-presale wording as a current benefit.

Our recommendation

Buy the format you will use. The standard CD covers the announced album and includes the documented booklet. The sunburst LP makes sense for a vinyl-first collection. Choose a different colour, picture disc, mirrorboard CD or cassette when that particular object is what you want to collect.

There is no documented need to buy a bundle to obtain additional songs. Check the retailer’s current contents and terms before paying for duplicate formats.
