Privacy Policy

A plain-language explanation of the information ErasureFan.com processes and why.

Last updated July 18, 2026. This policy describes the behavior of the live ErasureFan site in practical terms.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics is disabled until a visitor explicitly accepts optional analytics. If accepted, the site may measure aggregate page use and three owner outcomes: a completed email-list signup, a click to an identified affiliate destination, and a contact-page action. Declining analytics is stored in the visitor’s browser and does not prevent use of the site. The choice can be changed from “Privacy choices” in the footer.

Email-list requests

The updates form asks for an email address and an optional first name. An accepted signup is stored in a private WordPress database table and sent to the site administrator for list administration. Subscriber records are not exposed through a public post type, page, sitemap, or REST endpoint. Administrators can export the active list for legitimate newsletter administration.

The list is used only for ErasureFan updates and essential list administration. It is not sold or shared. Every dispatch will include a clear unsubscribe route. Until an automated sending platform is activated, an unsubscribe request can be made through the contact form using the same email address.

Contact messages and operational logs

Contact submissions may include a name, email address, page URL, subject, and message. They are used to review and respond to corrections, rights concerns, technical problems, or editorial feedback. Hosting and security systems may retain IP addresses, user agents, timestamps, and request details in normal server logs for reliability, abuse prevention, and incident response.

Affiliate links

Some clearly identified retail links may be affiliate links. A purchase can generate a commission at no additional cost to the reader. Affiliate participation does not determine release facts or editorial recommendations. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Retention and questions

Records are retained only as long as they remain useful for the purpose described, legal requirements, or site security. To request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted, use the contact form and identify the relevant email address or message.
