The Neon Live moves from “Chorus” directly into “Hey Now (Think I Got a Feeling),” making the comparison between electronic eras immediate. “Nerves of Steel” and “Shot a Satellite” give The Neon further anchors, but the set’s personality comes from what surrounds them.

“Turns the Love to Anger,” “Careful What I Try to Do,” “Save Me Darling,” and “Push Me Shove Me” are not automatic arena selections. Their presence keeps the middle of the concert from becoming a wait for “Always,” “Oh L’Amour,” and “A Little Respect.” The Eurythmics cover “Love Is a Stranger” adds another deliberate angle.
