Inside World Be Gone

World Be Gone carries a different emotional weather. Its songs look outward at power, disappointment, and social strain more directly than most of the Erasure catalog. The title track and “Be Careful What You Wish For!” make that shift impossible to miss.

The album still depends on the duo’s melodic instincts; seriousness does not require abandoning hooks. “Love You to the Sky” supplies the most immediate light, while the surrounding record keeps asking what optimism can mean under pressure.
